01. Project Info

Hailing from Houston and averaging more than 200 shows a year, Slade has performed in fifty-one countries on six different continents over the last ninenteen years. He has also taken his show overseas to the United States military twice a year for the last decade.

His real passions lie on the road, however – traveling the world and collecting stories. He has free-climbed mountains and been swimming with sharks. He’s wrestled a cheetah and beaten up a midget. He’s wandered Australia’s outback, been lost in Cambodian jungles, and hiked a good part of the Andes. He is anything but boring.

The Challenge

After knowing Slade for several years, creating a personalized brand that encompasses the various aspects of his passions and personality became a must. Additionally, Slade possesses an unbridled creative mind; it was critical to design a limitless, completely unrestricted brand.

The Approach

Minimalism means the color palette needs to be simple, but the overall design is more challenging. Initially, the thought of a signature logo seemed the solid option; however, that style was not bold enough to encompass Slade’s bold yet observant personality.

02. The Result

The brand concept that best met the long-term goal and strategy was a minimal design that carries the impact of high-end and the boldness of diverse businesses. Slade’s has utilized this new brand to launch several new ventures, including online streaming, film direction for stand-up specials, and several new weekly podcasts.
